3D Projection Mapping : Massive Ten . HOTBED 2015

In collaboration with the Art Gallery of Ontario, Derooted was commissioned to take over the main architectural feature of Bailey Court for their annual fundraiser Gala party, Massive Party HOTBED. This year’s theme, “Hotbed” was a huge success and Derooted was there with a massive 3D projection! Guests enjoyed a night filled with food, drinks, dancing and unforgettable art, all inspired by the cultural hotbed of Toronto.

yoMzansi_adidas-is-all-in-commercial-2011.-150x150In the past year we’ve witnessed a number of very impressive 3D mapping experiments from independent artists’ initiatives like Gorillaz to awesome visual performances for by big brands such as Ralph Lauren, Samsung, Mattel and Nike. These methods may not be groundbreaking in technology, but the scale of this project and the creative direction along with the intensity of the images has us quite in awe.  “Adidas is all in” is the new Adidas campaign launched last Wednesday at the “Palais du Pharo” in Marseille, France.

People are constantly on the run searching for the latest trend or craze that they feel is going to be “the future”. Lately there has been a trend spreading rapidly throughout the entertainment world, hopping barriers like wildfire. I’m sure you have been pulled in by this trend, even if you don’t like or believe in it you are still somehow entranced by it.
